Photoshop had an insider leak in September of 2015 that was uncovered by a blogger. The existence of the forthcoming Photoshop for iOS was revealed, and developers in attendance at Adobe MAX 2015 heard about it. It has since been renamed Adobe Photoshop, and its release is rumored to be in March of 2016.

As of this writing, Photoshop CC isn’t even a rumor. It’s a reality.

How to compare strings in Common Lisp?

Given a string and another string, in Common Lisp, is there a way to test if one is within the length of the other (using the characters of the other string)?
Given an input string and a target string, how would one find which characters would make up the right side of a substring?
How would you rewrite the following in Common Lisp? (I realize it can be done with a loop. I am just seeking the most efficient way to do it. I assume there is one)
int SUBSTR_IS_NEXT(char *str, int start, int end){
int count = 1;
while (str[count]!= NULL){
if (str[count] > end){
return 0;

return 1;

Second way, in Common Lisp.
(defun substring-is (start end str)
(loop with i = 0 with j = (length str)
for c = (aref str j)
while (and ( c end) t c))
if (eq (aref str i) c)
collect i))

Here is second way,

Why Must We Apply Box–Geometries Separately To Linear Dependencies

I am trying to follow this explanation:
It says that “In 3D, we want to calculate the box-envelope of an object with respect to a fixed origin. But in 3D, the box-envelope of a given object (i.e. the envelope of the object in 3D space) is not always equal to the envelope of that object in linear space.
To calculate the box-envelope in 3D, we must first calculate the box-envelope of that object in linear space. If we want to generate a 3D preview of that object, we must multiply that linear object’s envelope by the value of z.
However, in the image in the previous link (at the very bottom), I was surprised to see that the command (center of mass – centroid) in the label “Box Envelope in Linear Space” actually didn’t apply a z-transformation to the object’s linear envelope. I was under the impression that this command would apply a z-transformation to its input.
Can anyone clarify the concept of z-transformation applied to 3D objects?

I was under the impression that this command would apply a z-transformation to its input.

Sort of. If you’re working in the cartesian coordinate system (where x and y are the axes, and z is a depth axis) a z-transformation is simply a scaling of the z axis. Thus, if you take the center of mass and compute its z coordinate, you’ll get the same result for a 3D object in linear space and a 3D object in cartesian space.

Has anyone ever seen vipers mating?

Hi, does anyone know what species of snake is the vipers? I’ve lived in parts of the U.S. where vipers are common, including the Florida Everglades, and have never personally witnessed them mating. I’m imagining that the females are all sort of on top of each other in a heap and the males keep trying to crawl under them or something. I really don’t know!

They have been known to do other things with snakes like giving birth
