Dassault Systemes is a major competitor of Autodesk that offers its own suite of CAD and PLM tools, but also allows free use of their software on a voluntary basis. Their own web-based product has been available since 1996. The primary difference between Dassault Systemes and Autodesk is that the latter is cross-platform and does not provide a browser-plugin to access the data. Dassault Systemes’ own web application provides access to data.
